Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We have answers. Here is everything you need to know about UseCloudDraw, from pricing and features to file formats and privacy.

Is UseCloudDraw free?
Yes, UseCloudDraw is completely free to use. You can create, edit, and export vector graphics without paying a dime. There are no hidden fees, subscription tiers, or credit card requirements. We believe great design tools should be accessible to everyone, whether you are a student, freelancer, or small business owner.
Which browsers are supported?
UseCloudDraw works in all modern web browsers. We officially support Google Chrome (version 90+), Mozilla Firefox (version 88+), Microsoft Edge (version 90+), and Safari (version 14+). For the best experience, we recommend keeping your browser up to date. Internet Explorer is not supported.
Does it work offline?
Yes, UseCloudDraw supports offline usage through service workers. Once you have visited the site, the core editor and your recent files are cached locally in your browser. You can continue working without an internet connection, and your changes will sync when you reconnect. However, some features like cloud saves and collaboration require a connection.
Can I import CorelDRAW files?
Our native .cdr format is JSON-based and designed specifically for UseCloudDraw. It is not binary-compatible with legacy CorelDRAW files. You can import SVG files without any issues, which is the recommended way to bring artwork from other vector editors into UseCloudDraw. We are exploring broader format support for future releases.
Can I export SVG, PDF, or PNG?
Absolutely. UseCloudDraw lets you export your work in SVG for web and print compatibility, PNG for raster images with transparency, and JPEG for standard image sharing. PDF export is also available for professional printing and document embedding. All exports maintain high quality and are ready for production use.
Is my data stored?
Your files are stored locally in your browser by default using IndexedDB. We do not upload your artwork to our servers unless you explicitly choose to save to cloud storage. You own your data completely, and you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser storage or using the Delete option within the app.
Does it require installation?
No installation is required. UseCloudDraw is a fully browser-based vector editor. Just open your browser, navigate to useclouddraw.com, and start creating. This means no downloads, no setup wizards, no admin permissions, and no waiting. It works on Windows, macOS, Linux, and even Chromebooks right out of the box.
What are the keyboard shortcuts?
UseCloudDraw supports familiar shortcuts to speed up your workflow. Press V for the Select tool, R for Rectangle, E for Ellipse, T for Text, and P for Pen. Use Ctrl+Z to undo and Ctrl+Y to redo. Ctrl+G groups objects, and Ctrl+Shift+G ungroups them. You can view the full shortcut list by pressing the ? key while in the editor.
Can I use it commercially?
Yes, you can use UseCloudDraw for commercial projects without any restrictions. Create logos, marketing materials, product packaging, or client work freely. The only thing we ask is that you do not resell the editor itself or claim ownership of the UseCloudDraw brand. Everything you create is yours.
What are the file size limits?
UseCloudDraw handles files up to 50 MB comfortably. For most vector projects, this is more than enough. If you are working with extremely complex illustrations or imported bitmaps, you may notice slower performance. We recommend optimizing large images before importing them and splitting massive projects into manageable artboards.
Do I need an account?
No account is required to use the core editor. You can start drawing immediately as a guest. Creating a free account is optional and gives you access to cloud saves, syncing across devices, and collaboration features. We only ask for an email address, and we never share your information with third parties.
How do I report a bug?
We appreciate your help in making UseCloudDraw better. You can report bugs through the Feedback button inside the editor, or by emailing us directly at support@useclouddraw.com. Please include your browser version, operating system, and steps to reproduce the issue. Screenshots or screen recordings are always helpful.
Is there a mobile app?
There is no dedicated mobile app yet, but the web editor works on tablets and larger phones in landscape mode. The interface is touch-friendly for basic edits and reviewing work on the go. For serious design work, we still recommend a desktop or laptop with a mouse or stylus for the best precision and comfort.
Can I collaborate with others?
Collaboration features are coming soon. We are building real-time multi-user editing so teams can work on the same document simultaneously, similar to how Google Docs works. In the meantime, you can share exported files or send your .cdr file to teammates, who can open it in their own browser instance.
